These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Feral Chef mobile application and feralchef.com (together, the "Service"), operated by Jennifer Reevey, doing business as Feral Chef ("Feral Chef", "we", or "us"), in the United States. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
01The Service
Feral Chef is an artificial intelligence-driven tool that turns photos of your ingredients into recipe suggestions, provided strictly for novelty, culinary experimentation, and entertainment. The Service is rated 17+ / Mature.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use the Service, and of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction where any recipe references alcoholic beverages. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.
03Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation
Feral Chef offers optional in-app purchases:
- Feral Monthly — $1.49 per month, an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks unlimited scans.
- The Lifetime Scavenger Pass — $8.99, a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited scans permanently.
Payment is charged to your Apple App Store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Prices may vary by region and are shown to you at the time of purchase. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot directly issue App Store refunds. The Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app obtained via the App Store.
04AI-Generated Content
Recipes and other outputs are generated automatically by a third-party AI machine-learning model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are responsible for verifying the edibility, freshness, allergen content, and safe handling and cooking of any ingredient or recipe before preparation or consumption. The Service does not provide professional, medical, nutritional, or food- safety advice.
05Food Safety & Allergies
Always check expiration dates, inspect ingredients for spoilage, confirm you are not allergic to any item, and cook foods to safe internal temperatures. Do not rely on the Service to detect spoilage, allergens, or contamination.
06Alcohol Notice
Because the Service analyzes physical objects captured by your camera, it may recognize and reference alcoholic beverages. Feral Chef does not intentionally promote, market, or encourage underage drinking or alcohol misuse.
07Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or abuse the Service or its underlying APIs.
- Submit content you do not have the right to capture or that violates the rights of others.
08Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, branding, and design, is owned by Feral Chef and protected by applicable law. Recipes generated for you are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
09Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Feral Chef (Jennifer Reevey) and its affiliates and service providers accept no civil or criminal liability for any injury, illness, legal infraction, loss, or adverse health effect resulting from the execution, preparation, or consumption of any recipe, or from any other use of the Service.
11Changes to the Service & Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
